DNS does not work on stand-alone PC

Hey guys,

I have a PC that the DNS does not work on.  Here's what I've done:
-I can obtain IP by DHCP
-I can ping IP addresses of the gateway, of yahoo, etc.
-I CANNOT ping actual names such as www.yahoo.com
-I have uninstalled and re-installed winsock
-I have used the winsock repair tool found on the boards
-I have tried a new PCI network card
-I have run AVG 8 with no virus' found
-I have check and everything is set to 'obtain automatically' in the TCP/IP protocol

The network connection shows connected with a valid IP, it is strictly the issue where DNS does not resolve the name server.  This is a home computer and the laptop on the network works fine.  I've also taken it to work and it gives the same issue at work when all the other workstations work fine.  So I'm lost.  I did run Hijack This after the AVG scan and here's the log:

As you can see there is some sort of issue with the winsock.  Any reccomendations or help would be greatly appreciated!
