gateway configured to 192.168.1.1 which pushes traffic through the Firebox
dns1 <valiid DNS of ISP. dns2 is 192.168.1.1
my concern is that dns2 never gets to the Poweredge Server. shouldn't i just make the dns of the client pc equal to the IP of the Poweredge Server? (server is domain controller running AD in W2K3SP1 world)

The second DNS setting is only used, whenever the first DNS Server is not reachable. As long as the first DNS is working, the second never will be used.
As your Poweredge server uses forwarders, your clients should only point to your poweredge server.
