DNS Suffix has two domains listed
I have a computer that will not do GPUpdates because it has two DNS Suffix, but wierdly they are both the same apart from one is upper case and the other is lower case. Is there a suitable solution to remove one of them. I have had a look in DNS Suffix of the Network Card and there is no DNS Suffix listed

the domain is aken.local and the DNS server is right and can ping it.
We have 3 Domain Controllers and it is getting the information from one of them. Could the problem be that it is a over used DC. We have had it previously that a computer at point A got all the information from a DC at point Z. But we did a GPupdate and it changed but we just can't do GPupdtaes on this computer

a over used DCA DC can handle a lot of clients. How many clients do you have?
We have had it previously that a computer at point A got all the information from a DC at point Z.
What do you mean exactly?
Your network consists of multiple sites? And they are connected by WAN?
Or only multiple subnets at one site?
The only way I know, to control the usage of a specific, prefered DC by an client, is to configure subnets and sites in Active Directory, representing your real subnets an sites.
Only then a client can determine a DC at the same site how itself reside.
DNS Suffixes are only used to locate a server.
Microsoft DNS is not case sensitive so both are treated as the same entry.
What errors do you get when you try to run GPUPDATE?
P.S. A restart of the computer will also update the group policy settings on that computer.

The comment was a closing summary of the question as the problem is not shown as a major risk.
But I think, it's not the cause for yor GPupdate issue.
The clients domain is "aken.local"?
The client use the right DNS server and can ping this domain?
