I am having a problem with a service in Microsoft Windows 2003.  The service is i8042prt.
Event ID 7026
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:

I get this on a HP Proliant ML150 G2 server.
My research on old threads from this site took me to this link
http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Windows/XP/Q_20907808.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+i8042prt
The solution for that question didn't work for me.  I do know its related to having a USB keyboard and mouse hooked up to the server.  The server comes with a PS2 keyboard and mouse but I use a KVM to switch between another server that is all USB.
I emailed HP and they sent me this link http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=PSD_DG030507_CW01&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
but it has no solution for making sure the error is not logged.
I just want to make the service not run at all so it doesn't show up in the log.
