Screen went dark

Hello,

Today, after powering up my T30 laptop, I noticed the screen was really, REALLY dim. I can only see the 'Microsoft Windows' logo on bootup a little bit because it's fat white text on a black screen.

I thought It was the humidity outside or a connector that was dead but it's not. I opened it and the screen connector is OK.

Is the screen dead? I don't really feel like buying a new one for the price of my laptop.
