I have a network infected with a virus that brodcast tons of spam.
I try to find out what PC is infect and I was told to use wireshark and monitor port 25 to see what pc is brodcasting. I never use it before so I was wondering how do you filter only for port 25.
I click on show the capure option and under capture filter I put host 192.168.15.1 and this is the adress of the router. I also go on the Capture filter and put on the string port 25 and I start the capture. only some codes come once but nothing that tell me what pc is brodcasting on port 25. Is there a easy way to do this?

use this as the capture filter.
port 25
packet capturing doesn't work well if you have a switch because switches only send the packets where they need to go, and not out all ports on the switch. You need to either use a port mirroring or monitoring feature on your switch if it is manageable to monitor the port connected to your internet router. If it's not manageable you need to put a hub between your router and your switch and plug your wireshark machine into the hub. Then your wireshark machine will see all of the traffic that is going to or from the router on LAN interface.
