What is Objective Solutions DataBase Cache, port 1388?

Asked by fletchwj in TCP/IP, Miscellaneous Security, User Datagram Protocol (UDP)

My personal firewall just popped up a warning for MSDTC on port 1388.

I looked it up and all I can find is "Objective Solutions DataBase Cache" for that port number.

I have no idea, does anyone know what Objective Solutions is? I don't know of anything installed on my machine that would cause this but who knows.

I was in Internet Explorer at the time, and telnet was running to my router. That's about it.Start Free Trial
