Bind version 8 on Unix, Windows 2003 server, IIS 6.
I have two domains, lungsatwork.org and lungsatwork.net, with lungsatwork.org being the primary. I want lungsatwork.net to redirect to lungsatwork.org. Right now I have lungsatwork.net setup in IIS to use all unassigned addresses. And I'm using Cnames in the lungsatwork.net domain zone file to redirect to lungsatwork.org. And, it all works, until I assign an ip address to the lungsatwork.net site in IIS. Once I assign the ip address, I can browse the site in IIS, but when I try to hit it using a browser, any browser, inside our network or from the outside. I get the message "Bad request, invalid hostname".
How do you fix this? Do I need to create an A record in the lungatwork.net domain, such as lungsatwork.lungsatwork.ne
t? I did try to create
www.lungsatwork.net, but I got a msg that said it couldn't be created because there is already a Cname record.
