TCP/IP: 10.1.1.0 /24  vs  255.255.255.0

Asked by tjie in TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Networking Protocols

Hi,

1. I saw in the logical diagram
2. The IP: 10.1.1.0 /24
3. And it is associated with the Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
4. My question: i) Is the IP 10.1.1.0 a Class A? right?, ii) And the Class A should have Subnet Mask of 255.X.0.0 (It should not be 255.255.x.0)?
5. Could somebody explain?
6. Thank you
