DSL Modem has a USB connection.
Hello All -
I have a Win2K Server, two Win2K Pro and one Win98 machine at home. I have a DSL connection coming from a Alcatel Modem that has a USB connector at the end of it.
How can I share the connection? I have a FR314 Netgear router I'd like to use, but all connections are for Cat5. Do I put the USB connection from the modem into my Server and then use the other USB connector on the server to connect to a USB hub (or run from the NIC the server has) back to the router? Will this keep all connected?
(The tricky part is the fact the modem has USB and not a Cat5)
Thanks
