At a guess you have a static default gateway pointing to head office and when you connect to the Internet this gateway gets disabled and the gateway provided by the ISP is used instead.

Remove the static DG and add a static route instead if this is the case. What OS do you have?

How to check.I am having windows 95.I have motorola router also.Through this only we are connecting.
