Network Bandwidth monitor
Hey,
I'm going to setup a server among a couple of computers that are connected to the same router. As normal WAN is connected to the router. is there a way i can install a software or something on the server to monitor each computers bandwidth usage and the total network bandwitdth.
If i can't do it with that setup what EASY setup can make me do it.
you can also check out this question i put up about setting up the network.. even though its close to being answered.

I believe you'd need something like (the expensive) Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration server (ISA Server).
ASKER
Note that all i want is something like rtg graphs
http://rtg.sourceforge.net/examples/graphs.html
i don't really need a firewall... or packet filter
Thanks

MRTG will monitor bandwidth throughput from the router, you can also configure it to poll any SNMP device, so you could with a bit of work set it up to monitor machines.
Here's the link to MRTG, it's Free
