The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Microsoft TV/Video Connection anyone know what it's for?

Asked by RoadWarrior in Miscellaneous Networking, TCP/IP

Hi folks,

installed a TV card and  "Microsoft TV/Video Connection" appeared under Network adapters.

Found this question...
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Win98/Q_21072228.html

And was wondering if anyone knew more yet.

Google only tells me that there are 1000s of people out there asking the same thing.

I was kind of curious as to whether it was some scheme for piggybacking data on TV signals, that isn't fully implemented yet. It would be nice to have some pointers for further research. I'm just trying to find out if it's something fun to screw around with :-D Maybe there's some standards or RFCs out there that might describe something similar?

I know it's not really a problem or anything to worry about. What's really intriguing is that one of the only references I can find on microsoft's site was in a transcript of a tech chat, and the moderator cut the expert off before he could answer fully. So I dunno if it's some big secret thing MS is working on or what. Any clues in the Longhorn Betas?

Mebbe it's only something for allowing an easier TCP/IP interface to video streams *yawn*, but whatever it is, I am now officially intrigued.

Thanks for any wit* and wisdom
