ah i see - you cant change that though with windows

network settings are configured at startup as part of the code - cant imagine a way to even begin altering that...
Hi to all,

Jay jay...

In both case i didn't want third party tool

point increased
then the answer to your first Q is use the inbuilt shutdown command as suggested by sunilcomputer and the answer to your second Q is i have no idea if this is possible and would put money on it that its not
oh ok
then i will tell you solution on this question wait i also searching
no worries   & Goodluck!

Abs_Jaipur Or Jay_Jay

Just curious, would you tell me what it means? I mean I'm completely out of it, I just don't get the Question 2 at all.

Cheers,
Rajesh
hey Rajesh,

i have no idea..... i think he means he wants to network connectivity established unitl he logs on to windows -
For what reason? Don't want to use the cached logon? I mean, I don't know.

Cheers,
Rajesh
me neither mate!
:-)

Abs_Jaipur,

We think you are trying to do something for your administration to go well. But unfortunately we are not able to understand it. Can you describe your second question in detail and the end result you would like to be? That way we will be able to get you the solution. Jay_Jay is definitely gonna give you some solution on this one if you describe it. I'll try my best too even though it is not my speciality.

For the first question you already have the solution given above. Just use the inbuilt command 'shutdown' without any arguments and you'll be able to feed it with a text file containing all the computers you want to shutdown.

Cheers,
Rajesh
Hi,

Question 1. I want shutdown al network pc can i forcefully do it .....I have not permission on that pc

Question 2.I want password protect  my network service at boot time means if any network service start at boot time then ask a user name and password that my question...
already answered both but wont accept the answer
Oops. You don't have permission on the system? What do you mean? If you don't then you *shouldn't* be doing it. Nope the 'shutdown' command won't let you do this if you don't have permission.

Cheers,
Rajesh
No .... What is y second question answerr???

and i am not able to shutdown pc remotely through that command
Rajesh,

if you have a way of doing what he wants then i will be amazed and bow to you!

Abs_jaipur
I have answered the Q and am now taking my leave - you ask what cannot be done

if you dont have permission on the system dont try, and if you can use the shutdown command, you need to deal with the fact you have to use 3rd party appz

cheers
Abs_Jaipur,

Now, this will be breaking the rules and ethics of this webforum. Unethical Hacking is not supported here. If you don't have permission on the remote machine, then *WhatEver* tool you try to use to shutdown the remote machine will FAIL. The only way will be to walk up to the machine and shut it down manually. Because all these tools need to have access to the remote system with FULL PERMISSION.

I don't know of a way to do the second question.

Cheers,
Rajesh
Hi rsivanandan,

I want to only for my network area so this is not Unethical hacking ......I am Network administrator and i want to shutdown all my pc remotely . Which is not doing by this command .I think this is not illegal ...

-ABS
Hi rsivanandan and jay-jay,

can you tell me ..we use cat 5 cable and in this cable only 4 wire used for data transmission then why we use 4 wire extra ??

-ABS
If you are the Network Administrator then why is that you don't have permissions on the target system? You should have it and the command should work. I've managed more than 1000 machines in my network and this works like a charm unless you have a problem with the target machine. Like if the RPC service doesn't respond etc.

On the cabling, when they first came up with the connector, they left the other wires for future expansion I believe. Yes you are correct, only 4 wires are used and they are;

Tx+, Tx-, Rx+, Rx-

Cheers,
Rajesh
thank u rajesh for reply

yes you are correct ... that machine i have not rights because that is our CEO and other offical member machine which is not want share . I want to shutdown these when the office close mostally these are not shutdown when the ceo goes to out of station . I think you understand.

YEs four wire use but then what is use of other 4 wire
I understand, I would suggest to you to not attempt to shutdown those boxes. It could get you into trouble.

The other 4 wires are left there for future research.

Cheers,
Rajesh
hi -

future research ??? like any example
