EXPERTS: Cleanup help needed - Networking - thread 2

Hello everyone,

Most of you know that I am responsible for the cleanup of the old questions. When the Asker leaves a question open and there is no activity in the question for more than 21 days, the question is called abandoned and it needs to be closed administratively. But for doing this, we need someone to review the question and make a recommendation. And that is what the Cleanup Volunteers are doing.

If you decide to help, please post here and I will assign you a range. Please do not post recommendation in any question that is not assigned to you.

Please if you see a recommendation in a question you had participated in, read it and post if you object, explaining why. This will help us a lot

Don't know if you assigned anyone else to work it because of my slackness - we've been really busy lately with an open position, vacations, etc. All chairs are filled again here, so hopefully I'll have more time to "goof off" :)

I noticed I started getting closing recommendations in the DSL/Cable Modem forum from Keith. I thought I was working that one? Not upset or anything, just don't want to be redundant and step on toes. Please advise.

ABS, you have not been assigned CV status as yet so I assume Annie is going to monitor your first few cleanups the same as she did for all of us. If you are successful you will be given access to the tools that allow you to mark comments as 'administrative'. For your 'trial' as a CV, your comments will be shown as normal, not administrative.

I will likely answer enough questions to keep my minimum monthly points going but as pressure at work is mounting (I am preparing the designs of the MS Vista/Office 2007 compatibility testing, build processes, deployment schedules etc) I will not be involved in day-to-day activities anymore. I'll try and keep pace with some of the cleanups but I will be somewhat scarce for a while.

Annie, as anticipated, work is calming down to normal levels and should be fine until the new year. I'll be able to start pro-actively going for questions again and should be on top of my cleanups.

At an appropriate time decided by Annie you will be given the tools that will do this for you automatically. Until then, your cleanups will be shown as normal member comments, not administrative.
