Script to report on size of user folders
Our user's folder sizes are out-of-controll and I want to find the biggest users.
I have a server directory setup with each of our departments (i.e. HR, Accounting, IT). Under each of the departments, is a folder called Users. In the Users folder, each person in that department has their own folder for private storage named as their name (for example, John Doe).
I am trying to find a way to list all the user folders under each department along with each user folder's size. A text print-out would be best. For example, John Doe 70 MB.
If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!

I found it in TechNet at http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/library/9c846489-03cb-4848-8805-aa17430b84eb1033.mspx?mfr=true. Let me know if the link doesn't work for you and please verify that your system is listed in the supported OS list.

Treesize free works on 2k3. The only thing is that it doesn't scan network drives, therefore you have to install it on the machine, but it's only 800 Kb... Definitely worth it !

Agree Treesize is great, but switched a while back as SizeExplorer has great customizable reporting and graphing features. If not necessary, Treesize pricing is obviously better, though SizeExplorer is pretty reasonable, starting at $14 US.
I'm glad that I could be one of those that helped. Thank you for the grade, the points and the fun question.

Thanks to everyone! Now if I could just convince users it's okay to delete some things :)
Vsg's program looks great. I have used Microsoft's Diruse program which can run at the command line and you can send the results to a text file. There are different location to download it from depending on your operating system or it is found on the Resource CD. Let me know your OS if you are interested in this option.
