The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Confused with Netscreeen VPN

I am looking after a network with a Juniper Netscreen ns5gt-ads. I have never looked after a Netscreen before, and I'm having a little trouble connecting to the VPN. I'm fairly neub with IPSec VPNs so it's all Latin to me. I have been sent the Netscreen VPN client and the .spd security policy that apparently works fine. I install the VPN client and add the policy, and it says it has added fine. when I right-clickon the icon in the system tray, and click  connect, I am told that I have successfully connected. So everything looks good. However, from here I cannot connect to the anything on the remote network... Normally, I should be able to TS into the server, but no go. I can't ping anything either. Again, I don't know how this VPN client is supposed to work, but I don't get a new IP address, there is no new virtual network device, and my routes don't change. Is there something I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.
