Site to Site config with ASA 5505 and PIX 515E

Asked by iuprock in IPSec Security Protocol, Networking Hardware Firewalls, Cisco PIX Firewall

I am trying to configure a site to site vpn on a test network.  One end has pix 515E and the other has ASA 5505.  I configured each side with  the vpn wizard provided by each firewall.  Ain't working, and don't know why.  Do I have to do anything outside of the VPN wizard.  Note:  I have been working with Symantce firewalls for last 8 years, so am a novice with site to sites with Cisco.
:  one lan is 10.20.1.0/24 and outside interface 218.x.x.201.  This network also has a 10.10.0.0/16 network.  Inside interface is 10.20.1.2.
The other side is 10.50.0.0, inside interface is 10.50.1.6.  Outside is 218.x.x.207.
Default route for both networks to the internet is 218.x.x.193/19.

the 10.50 network is the ASA.  The Pix 515e is the 10.20 network.  Start Free Trial
