The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. FREEPBX / Asterisk / Trixbox Call Pickup problems

I have a phone system using the new Trixbox CE 2.4.1 ISO version (but I had the same problem before when I trialled v2.2). I cant get call pickup to work and its sending me insane.

When another phone is ringing Ive tried pressing the following codes on my phone 

*8#
*68
**
*68101 (101 is the extension ringing)
*68#101
**101

Almost everything ends up a voice saying that feature is unavailable or all circuits are busy now.

I have Call Pickup (Can be used with GXP-2000) enabled in FreePBX feature codes and I have the ring and pickup group the same on both phones)

I am using Snom phone but it does the same thing on X-lite as well.

The reason I want to use it is because I want to setup a Snom 360 phone to be able monitor another extension and pickup (steal) the call if there is no one at that extension to pick up their phone. Ive seen stuff about a Snom patch but I dont understand how or where to apply it and the latest Snom firmware seems to mention its fixed that part of its interoperability with Asterisk.
