The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Asterisk Fax Server Elastix IAX2 Varible Filename output

This is a tough question. I am trying to configure My asterisk and i dont know what script to use or a script... Basically a call comes in.

someone faxing to the fax server say the number to the asterisk is 5551212

the person will put in the fax machine  5551212PPPPPP888888#  at any fax machine then push send to where the 6 pauses will give it time for the digits to take place to intercept.

the P indicates the Pauses the 88888 or 12312  number is the temporary control number or ticket number.

Basically every fax has a different ticket number each time so the ticket comes in via the fax server with the digits grabbed 888888 and output that to a file name as  an attachment 88888.pdf or if i can

888888-on-11508-AT-755PM.PDF or .TIF

and the prompt i can probally put for the users to hear when they are faxing is enter the ticket number you are faxing followed by the # sign.

im assuming the 5 digits would go to a temporary varible and when the fax is done put that with the file output name followed by the date and time.
