How can you indicate a channel busy status on a SIP phone with call waiting enabled?
PBX: Asterisk version 1.4
SIP Phone: Cisco 79xx with SIP firmware version 8.8
I would like to be able to see another call coming in while I'm on the phone, hence the call waiting. Does anyone have a creative way to send a channel status of BUSY back to another channel if I'm on the phone while call waiting is enabled?

Thanks very much and sorry for the late response. Quick question, though....I'm not sure I understand what's going on in the gotoif condition. (Now I've tested your code and see the results but..) What is "X"? You're saying, "Go to extension 20 if X divided by the channel ID doesn't equal X? Is that basically saying, go to extension 20 if there is a channel ID and that math is just there to give the goto some numbers to crunch?
