2 Default GW's required (Private and Public) to Route SIP traffic

Asked by shaunwingin in Asterisk Open Source Telephony, Voice Over IP, Network Design & Methodology

Tags: , ,

Hi,

This is the network: VOIPSWITCH(Source of SIP/H323 traffic) (On Public IP)---->Asterisk(2 ethernet ports: 1 Public IP amd 1 Private IP)----->Provider 1. (Private IP) and Provider 2. (Public IP) .

How can I setup Asterisk to route traffic to each of the providers?
Do I give the Linux box 2 IP addresses?
Is there a way I can solve this problem with another device or software other than needing Asterisk in the middle?
Could OpenSer solve the problem?
