Hi devangshroff, thanks for the reply. Can you give me more details? Are you talking about under device > phone > and then make the changes to the phone's line text label? Not exactly sure what you mean by device line.

On the gateway I have set Calling Line ID Presentation to allowed and set the Caller ID DN to the number that I want for the new caller id, but for some reason it still is showing our old caller id and not the one that I specified. What do I need to do to get the caller id to change?

Would you like to show the Calling Line ID information to the PSTN network?
There are several ways to change the Calling Line ID information. If the main office is displayed for alle DN's, you have to modify also the "External Phone Number Mask" and the "Caller ID DN" in de Gateway information. In addition the "Route Pattern" have to be modified to mark the tick-box "Use Calling Partys External Phone Nummer Mask" with the mainnumber and wildcards for the digits of the numberplan, for instance 0302906xxx in case of a 4 digits numberingplan.
Best regards Ronald
When the gateway is configured as MGCP gateway in the Callmanager, you've the reset the voice gateway to have these changes to be effected.
Yes, the provider can set on the ISDN line that only the mainnumber should be shown as Calling Line Identifier.
I suppose the gateway is a Cisco model. With a debug isdn q931 you see if the correct CLI is sent to the to the PSTN network. If not, you have to modified the settings in the Callmanager,
When show see in de debug log the correct CLI is sent to the PSTN network, but a error code 100 is shown in the debug trace, you can assume that the problem is caused by the Telecom provider.
Hello
On the voice gateway itself you've to login en "Priviledge"mode (#).
You have to type the following command to start de ISDN debugger "debug isdn q931"
When the debugger is started you will see for instance the following trace.
For you it's important to see the information in the "Called Party Number".
If this is the DDI number, then the problem is caused by de Service Provider. If this is the mainnumber, then someting is not correctly configured on the Callmanager
