3Com NBX V3000 Dial Plan to add 866 number
Let me start by saying I am not a telephone guy. I know just enough to get myself in trouble. That said, I recently added a conference bridge to my NBX V3000 system in SIP mode and it seems to be operating with its internal extension just fine. I now need to assign an external 866 number that we have that is not used and pipe that number to the SIP device. If somebody could explain the process I would really appreciate it.

What you are looking to do is DID number assignment. You want to assign a specific DID number to an extension. In this case the extension just happen to be a conf bridge.
