Out-bound Call Center Setup!!!!

Hi All,

A friend of mine has asked me to setup a small out-bound call center using Open-Source. I have deployed asterisk before but never used predictive dialer like Vicidial. Can some one guide me what needs to be done if one wishes to use asterisk for predictive dialing using Vicidial? More information can be provided if required.

Thanks for your comment. I have a few questions;

1-Do I need asterisk with vicidial or will vicidial alone serve the purpose?
2-For installation of Vicidial do I need to install asterisk with some special flags enabled or basic asterisk installation will do it?
3- Is there anything else required for my setup?

1: Hello, do not install from scratch but use vicidialnow http://vicidialnow.blogspot.com/
It has everything, asterisk / Web ect. (!iso erases your HDD)

3: Donwnload the tuto pdf they have at vicidialnow site, it is pretty well explained step by step.

Thanks for the information;

I prefer to make it from scratch. Learn everything and then I can go with VicidialNOW and AsteriskNOW stuff. How can I build it from scratch?

If you know asterisk there is not point to build from scratch, the vicidial is too old and vicidial now has some separated commits and interface upgrades. If you still want to build it here it is

Thanks for the installation link. I have installed Vicidial now and I can access the admin page. I have created a few phones on it. like one phone is 500 with password test but when I try to connect to vicidial web interface using these credentials it does not connect and keep me asking for username and password again and again?

Read the vicidialnow pdf, you are entering wrong password as there are two passwords, its a common confusion.

Can you please clearify a few questions of mine;

1- How can I check that asterisk is integrated with vicidial?
2- The phones which i create in vicidial, do I have to create dialplans for them in asterisk ?
3- How can I make a sample compaign for phones to dial in LAN?

1 - What kind of integration you want to check ? Anyway you have installed vicidial, so it is.
2 - Read the get started guide http://carlo.taguinod.net/vicidialnow/vicidialnow-getting-started-guide.pdf
3 - You need a téléphony provider to dial out, if you want to dial in LAN you need a second asterisk server as virtualk provider.

I got the agent login to work but when I add the credentials for agent screen in compaign then it says;

Sorry, there are no leads in the hopper for this campaign

Add some leads to the campaign and make it active.

There is a time synchronization problem with your system, please tell your system administrator

Try to get ntp workign ? check the date.
Loo, at your campaign open/closed hours. Read that pdf again.
