Voip using Nanostation wifi

Asked by wylackii in Voice Over IP, IP Telephony

I recently got a nanostation2 from ubnt.com and it had really good range and performance for the price.  I have seen Qos for voice as menu item and I was wondering how these devices would handle voice over wifi.  My ideal connection would be 100 yards between a remote building using nano or even powerstation for wireless connectivity (PP or PMP) to my wired LAN connected to a T1 line (only option where I live).  I have heard that wifi isn't quite ready for prime time but I am hoping that the short distance will provide good enough service so I can connect any remote buildings.Start Free Trial
