Because I am a relatively network "newbie" for this type of activity, I am struggling to understand the manual for my FVS338 (which is located here ftp://downloads.netgear.co
Any help would be apprecated.

I had a quick look at the manual and it appears thatthe netgear box will look at the ToS bits that are already set. Which Sipura box do you have. It may be capable of setting the ToS bits which the netgear should then honour.
Alternatively you can go through the process of setting up services for the VoIP stuff in the netgear according to the manual on page 7-14.
You should be able to add an outbound rule and specify the IP address of your Sipura box with any destination. Then set the QoS Priority to high and see what happens.
