Linksys at home, SIP phone on the inside, ASA at the office, Avay VOIP system on the inside, NAT at both ends. Oddly enough, I can get the phones to register, make a call and everything appears to work OK, but NO VOICES! Absolutely no sound at all. RTP? NAT traversal? Just a bad choice of phone vendor and security appliance (or both). I have talke to so many people and read so many articles I'm at the point where junking the Avaya and going back to Intertel is now looking like a good option. But, I decided to ask the experts, so here I am. Has anyone any idea what to do to make this work? BTW, Intertel has it nailed down. Avaya are as clueless as they come, suggesting we have 72 people VPN to the office whenever they want to make a phone call:-)
