SIP Domain: sip.ringcentral.com
proxy port: 5060
Outbound Proxy: sip.ringcentral.com
proxy port: 5090
User Name: 12345678910
Password: 1234567
Authorization ID: 1234567
The rest of the phone's settings are Factory default.
Even tho I easily inputted that information, the phone isnt working with these settings, but is that all there is to it? . I have also tried hooking it directly to a cable modem, but that didnt solve anything either.
Ive gone to the help section on Ringcentral and it doesnt give any other information on installing this phone. Do i need a tftp server, its blank at the moment? if so how can i learn how to install one, do i need to provision the phone somehow? I am lost on what to look for or what to try to fix. or is there any information maybe i can ask them to give me, that they already havent, to get this phone up and running?
Thanks for your assistance.

So the 7940 IP phone is running SIP software?
I suppose it is or you wouldn't be able to enter the information you put in there.
What messages do you see on th ephone under status messages?
Also do you have an IP address on the phone? I has to recieve an IP address from a DHCP server somewhere.
Finally there is a bug with the 7940 phones they only work on a specific SIP load, that is broken because none of the open public SIP phone service companies use the SIP standard as strictly as Cisco does, so the CISCO Sip Stack is not compatible with the broken stacks of most of the providers out there. The 7940 phones are one of the few phones that will work but they require a specific software 8.3 I think.
