Have an issue at present in that it's not my Vodafone account.
I have a customer who was using it for a temporary office but don't have any need for it at the moment. So asked if I could borrow it for a couple of weeks - to save having to sign up for the contract and then finding it doesn't work.
So will have to get the account information out of them.

Hi,
Have you tried Vodafone support? I'm also a Vodafone client here in Portugal and, at least here, their customer service is excellent. Plus: they cannot apply parental control unless you tell them to. You could also check your contract with them for some feature regarding parental control and that you may have active.
