Our Current Version of Call Manager is "Active Version: 5.1.1.3000-5 " I have inherited the IT position at the facility and can get into the box but because of a server failure we are working through we need to change the DNS on our call manager server to a new address. What are the commands and where do I change them. I can get into the box at a console level and also through web administration to the OS administration. The Ethernet settings only have options for me change the IP and subnet mask. Any help is greatly appreciated we have Pilot Points that are not working and we are hoping this will resolve the issue, plus it needs to be done anyways since the DNS servers are no longer functioning. Also there are two callmanager servers will these settings filter over or will I have to change them on both servers.

Have the DNS server IP addresses changed? The way Callmanager works, you specify a hostname and it needs to be able to resolve itself through a DNS server. Try the following commands:
To change DNS servers from the command line:
set network dns primary <Primary DNS IP>
set network dns secondary <secondary dns IP>
To change the DNS Domain:
Set network domain <name>
To Change the hostname:
Set network hostname <name>
Yes the IPs of our DNS changed. I had to seize roles using ntdsutil and the servers that are now handling DNS are running other apps and have established IPs so i couldn't just change them. I will try those and let you know. OK was logging in while typing because we are a call center I will not be able to try this until after 7PM tonight when the phones are unoccupied. In the mean time would this affect pilot points not seeing phones and bypassing them like they weren't logged into the network?
The commands worked Pilot Points are working again I just want to add as a note to anyone else who comes across this that you should restart callmanager afterwards. Cisco got on the phone with us this morning and made that clear as well, any time network changes are made a reboot is a very good idea.

I read a few things that mention this should be on a windows box which would be no problem except ours are the cisco appliance versions.
