Browse All TopicsCould anybody post an example of simple VoIP configuration on CISCO 2801 router. I have to configure it so it could handle trafic for 10 phones on simple network. phones don't have to go on public network. they are used only for internal comunication (on local network).
I have no expirience with this so I'm stuck.

Based on what you have described, the config below should work out nicely for you. I am assuming you are using Cisco 7900 series IP phones and you have a load of IOS on the 2801 that will support Communications Manager Express. Having said that, as long as your phones are connected to the same segment as FastEthernet0/0 and they are configured to obtain an IP address through DHCP, they should come up as extensions 2000 - 2009. Once they come up, you should be able to dial each other, and that's it. This config does not include any Central Office trunk configuration or voicemail. It should get you started.

The latest version is CME 7.1 and requires IOS 12.4(22)YB.
