Question

CCME GUI is not working - Error ITSMain

Asked by: petertwliu

couple of month back we implemented CUE and CCME and last week we changed the flash memory on cisco 3825 from 64MB to 256 MB.
Actually our support person(voice) copied entire thing and all are working good except CCME GUI.
If I type  http://3825 router_ip/ccme.html

its asking for user name and pasword and if I put admin-username and password (even if I put anything as username and password) I am getting same page as attached.
Error on page - If I click that messege on bottom of IE I am getting a popup window says "ITSMain" ........

I am waiting for Experts help on this matter. Since I need to sort out 2 major issues:

1) Our 7911 and 7971G,s time stamp is diffrent that our local time. So I need to work on CCME via GUI ( since I am not expert on voice).
2) I need to make call from Outlook contact( right click contact - Call) via Cisco phone.

So prior to this I need to get ccme GUI ready, isn't it?

Expecting good solutions

Thanks

it looks like you are missing a file called ITSMain

>our support person(voice) copied entire thing
Tell him he missed something and needs to come back and fix it
It may be a directory that did not copy over.

by: cordeosPosted on 2009-06-12 at 02:49:48ID: 24610571

Two things to try (maybe try number 2 first to see if it fixes things, since its the easier step):

1) It looks like you have all the files, but some may have become corrupt.  So...
Download the CME for IOS 124-15 zip file.  Download the Cisco or other TFTP server and run on your PC.  Extract the ZIP file contents and place CME GUI TAR file in your TFTP directory. Then run the xtract command from the 3825 router and pull down the CME files again from the TAR file on your PCs TFTP server.
archive tar /xtract TFTP://pcipaddress/tarfilename flash:/

2) connect to the router by telnet and enter enable-mode.  Once in enable mode, enter the following:
config term
ip http path flash:/
telephony-service
web admin system name admin secret 0 yourpassword

* replace 'yourpassword' with whatever admin password you want to set.  You should then be able to logon to the GUI with username 'admin' and whatever you set for 'yourpassword'.

Hope this helps.

http://supportwiki.cisco.com/wiki/index.php?title=Unable_to_access_Cisco_CallManager_Express_on_the_GUI_interface._Authentication_goes_through,_but_a_blank_grey_page_appears_in_the_browser_and_an_error_message_appears&oldid=100401

Here is Cisco's solution:

In order to resolve this issue, completeýtheseýsteps:

   1. Clear the browser cache.\\\\
   2. Download the latest Cisco CallManager Express GUI files from [Cisco Downloads|http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-iostsp].\\\\
   3. Extract the contents of the file to flash as explained in the directions at the top of the page.\\\\
   4. Reboot the router.

    * Caution:* Make a backup of the existing files and configuration, and complete the exact steps. Otherwise, extracted files can be corrupted.

Also, if the Cisco CallManager Express has a directory entry configured under the telephony service with a double quote, change it. For example:

directory entry 10 2010 name Axx Byy

Cordeos,
I tried 2nd step but no luck;
It seems corrupted files, but there is problem as we don't have Smart agreement with cisco I can't download GUI from cisco website right!? I tried to download but no chance! Any way to get CCME 4.2.1 from other site?

by: cordeosPosted on 2009-06-13 at 04:40:35ID: 24618743

Unfortunately, the Cisco IOS and CCME files can only be legally provided through Cisco channels.  You should check the disks or media that came with your router, or possibly ask the Cisco vendor you bought the router from.  In most cases, reasonable Cisco vendors will provide you a replacement copy of your CCME files - which is permitted by Cisco.

by: petertwliuPosted on 2009-06-15 at 02:58:17ID: 24627355

Yup, I got files now "cme-gui-4.3.0.1".  and xtracted to router's flash,

now its working fine,

but when I am clicking on CUCME "configure" - "phone" -"xxx-xx-x" - nothing is coming up. seems that file is missing no idea.. anyway I am working on it and I will update that .

Not only CUCME but also CUE.

Now as per my question if I need to place call via outlook do I need  to do anything on CUCME? or just install "Cisco-CUCME-TSP-2.1.2" on PCs?

I tried to install but not contacting with IP phone.

Thanks & Rg

by: cordeosPosted on 2009-06-15 at 03:32:19ID: 24627509

you are likely being hampered by the following two issues...

1) in order to use cme-gue-4.3.0.1, you must have the correctly corresponding Cisco router IOS which matches.  For CME4.3.0.1, you need IOS 12.4(15)XZ.

2) to connect to Outlook you will need "CiscoIOSTspLite" in addition to the TSP, see the following link...
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_example09186a008087407f.shtml

by: cordeosPosted on 2009-07-01 at 01:04:40ID: 24752318

have you checked the matching IOS issue.

by: petertwliuPosted on 2009-07-08 at 00:52:13ID: 24801505

Codeos,
Your right, Its worked for me when I installed CiscoIOSTspLite (Sorry for the delay in get back to you since getting those tapi softwares was not easy).

Now I am facing some configuration issue!

Since our external calls required dial '9', I need to place '9' infront of outlook contact's telephone number , otherwise call is not possible from outlook.

I tried dialin paln from tapi but no luck.

Could you please help me on this? I can post configuration file if you want.

Thanks

by: cordeosPosted on 2009-08-09 at 21:26:56ID: 25057169

You should start a new thread for the TSP dial rules issue.

Check the file names of your files, When you copy files using windows to a flash card it can mess with the case. Cisco flash files are case sensitive. I've seen windows copy the file and change them to upper case
