The typical pinout for an RJ45 would be:
Pair 1: pins 4 & 5 (the middle pair)- the "blue pair"
Pair 2: pins 3 & 6 (straddling pair one) - the green pair
Pair 3: pins 1 & 2 (the orange pair)
Pair 4: pins 7 & 8 (the brown pair)
The "color"/white wire is lower value than the solid color on an IDC connector (usually the left, as viewed from the rear of the jack).
As described above, would conform to the "568B" cabling scheme. For "568A" reverse the orange pair and the green pair.
So, as mentioned in the previous post, the middle four pins, blue in the middle straddled by (usually) the green pair.
