So, CoreComm has bit us again. Emails are showing up late... A whole week late! And, since those very late messages are taking up resources, new messages are hours delayed in arriving. And, to get all these messages processed, they are eliminating spam filtering...
My question is, what provider should be be using for email? We could bring it in-house, and we have the infrastructure and technical skills to support it if it is really necessary. Or,we could switch to AT&T or another provider, and AT&T already provides us DSL to our home office.
I am concerned about burning valuable cycles in-house on supporting something as mundane as email. We're a small company and, while we can do email, we don't really have excess resources to spend on it.
But, I am more concerned about the impression we give our customers when we cannot rely on our email system.
I know there isn't a clear answer here. I mainly want to generate a debate and see where it goes.
Thanks for your help....
