Browse All TopicsHi,
I have installed a callmanager 6 server. I am looking for step-by-step configuration guide.
I have 10x7960 phones and a 7980 conferancing station. I got a 2811 that I want to use as gateway, it is currently running callmanager express. I have to connect our exchange 2007 to this callmanager and get outlook clients to dial out from the desktop too.
What do I do next? define phones? groups?

When you say configure CUCM6 .... how deep would you like to go ??
From a phone of view of getting the phones up and working all you should need to do is ....
1: ensure that you have a dhcp server which has option 150 configured pointing it to the CUCM6 server,
2: activate the TFFP server and Call manger service
3: start the TFTP service and call manger service
4: disable the check box for 'auto reg is disabled on this server' ( strange way of wording it ) - it will then ask you to define the extension range that you wish to use for auto assinged extensions
Hope this helps ..... I'm no expert on CUCM6 - But i have managed to build my own and get phones to register with it !!!!
Cheers

As far as step by step instructions, that'll depend largely on how you're trying to setup each end station and different groups. In general you can start wherever you'd like. Typically the order I'd start in is
/products/ sw/voicesw /ps556/ tsd _products_ support_co nfigure.ht ml
1. WAN and/or PSTN links
2. QoS
3. DID's and extension blocks
4. Endpoint configuration
5. Groups
6. Exchange
cisco has a number of configuration guides online: http://www.cisco.com/en/US
there are examples as well as admin guide that can walk you through step by step.
