I'm using a tie through our phone system, which is an Inter-Tel 5400.
This is a new install, and it's never completely worked. I've received a couple test faxes through here, but I was missing the routing information on them. The only thing I remember being different is that I had DTMF routing turned on for each of the channels.
The interface is a T1.
As far as the event log goes, I have the verbosity turned up on RightFax, but I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary - just informational messages.
For the Brooktrout config, the board is set to use Robbed Bit.
The phone switch is set to E&M for the channels, and to forward the original DID digits.
Inter-Tel verified that ESF and Bipolar 8 are correct for the line type and line coding options. I've set those options in the Brooktrout config utility.
The code I'm getting when using FaxUtil is (0/339;4/27) which the documentation says has something to do with the training process.

Are you connected through a CSU/DSU, or a tie line to your phone system? Did it ever work reliably, does it occur more frequently under load? Is this a T1 or PRI? Get the specs for your line and make sure that the 1034 card configuration matches. Also check the event log for any related messages.
