Transfering files through network kills network connectivity

Asked by CheetoBandito in Sun Solaris, Unix Networking, Computer Servers

Tags: Solaris, Samba, Windows File Share

I'm transferring a large amount of files from a Windows machine to a Solaris machine running Samba.  Randomly after a few gigabytes have gone through the transfer fails, and the Solaris machine disappears from the network.  I can't ping it.  I can't view websites on it, but I can ping out from it.  After I reboot everything starts working again.
