How do you configure the AIX server for load balancer running webserver Sun one

Zones: IBM AIX Unix, Unix Operating Systems, Unix Networking
Tags: IBM, AIX, 5.3, loadbalancer configration
Hi,
 I have been asked to configure the  load balancing  on AIX 5.3 server running Sun one Server .I am not familiar with the whole load balancing concept .can some one please explain to me how that is done on aix server running sun one web server .

You may use load balancers, e.g. from Cisco, Foundry, Alteon, F5.

Examine apache documentation about NameVirtualHost. SUN should be able to do same. Then just put DNS records so that clients connect to either server. Most browsers will notice one site is down and connect another.
