Migrating BIND host files to new server

So, I've got a bind 9 nameserver running on server1.
I just got a new bind 9 DNS server setup on server2.

The setup is working perfectly on server1 and server 2 until I try to transfer the host files located in /var/named/ on server1 to /var/named on server2. It appears that for some reason there is a permissions problem on server 2 once i copy the host files to the /var/named directory.

To double check, I've created the master zone for a new domain with webmin and looked at the default user:group and permissions. I've chowned and chmodded the copied host files to be identical and I still get these permission errors are seen in the code box

Does anybody know why bind works fine when i create a master zone with webmin but as soon as i replace that zone file with an older backup one i get these permissions errors?
