Using Internet Connection Sharing on Win98 with a WinNT PC.

I have a  Windows NT box, and like to be able to browse internet via ICS running on another box, running WIndows 98 (second edition).

Is it possible? and if it's possible, how?

thanks.

ICS is simple NAT, so the clients can be any type of Windows. However you cannot use the 'ICS client disk' generated by W98SE on NT, but manually changing the TCP/IP settings on the NT box isn't that difficult either.
For getting to work ICS (which can be tricky), there are many support websites out there. One of my favourites used to be www.sohointer.net.

Right click on "network neighborhood" icon on the NT box, next select properties and click the protocols tab, now select the TCP/IP protocol and click the properties button, You'll be presented with a config window, ensure that in the tab "IP Address" You selected the DHCP server option, clear all other options on the other tabs since the ICS will set it for You, only set the IP address of the ICS machine as default gateway, click ok up to the end and reboot, You'd be up and running
