Reset (diasble and enable) a NIC using Win2K.
Dear expert,
Due to a network connectivity issue, I need an answer for the below:
1. "When I disable a NIC followed by enabling it back (to reset), what actually happened to the NIC?" ie. does it flush out the buffer on the card or other.
2. What are the components in a NIC, esp. is there memory/buffer to store the arp data?
I have been searching from the Net on the technical info of the working of a NIC but in vain. Can you suggest a URL for me to find out more abt the insights of NIC?
Keen to Know,
Jo
