Joel,
I'm using TCP/IP to connect to the internet so I can't simply unbound it from the network adapter.. I tried using only one protocol at a time, each of those three protocols.
To me it looks more probable that Net BEUI should be the protocol to use when connecting to the WINS servers shouldn't it.. ( searched in MS Res. Kit Help for explanation on each protocol features and basic usage... IPX/SPX is MOSTLY used in MS Netware Networks Client..)
Besides, you first suggest me to unbound all protocols (including TCP/IP) than not to unbound TCP/IP..
Do you know how WINS is working.. it is not searching computers only for it's default protocol, it works in completely different way, my computer doesn't search for other computers, it asks WINS server for list of computers currently running on it.. it has nothing to do with my default protocol...
Thanks for suggestions, but unfortunately this doesn't help.
Hope someone can help me becuse this is killing me.. MS tech support as usually didn't reply at all..

I have encountered this problem a few times before, but I cannot remember the exact steps to remedy it.
1) Make sure that you only have ONE protocol bound to your network card. IPX/SPX only. Remove any unnecessary protocols, ie. NetBeui, netbios, TCP/IP, etc..
Generally speaking, you will only need to have TCP/IP bound to your dial up adapter.
2) if you do need to have more than one protocol bound to your Network card, make sure that only your IPX/SPX is set to be the default protocol.
The reason may be because each computer is using a different set of default protocols. When it searches for other computers, it only searches in it's default protocol unless you specifically search for other computers. Then it will search under other protocols.
See if this helps,
Joel
