Question

Dell Latitude CPi: Cannot find network/Ethernet controller driver

Asked by: uzairp

I have an old Dell Latitude CPi laptop computer. I am not an expert in computer hardware but here is what I see on Device manager under 'Other Device' which says Ethernet Controller with a big yellow question mark preceeding.
Dell's website doesnt have this driver and I have tried my best to get this laptop to work so I could use internet. I have Dlink airplus wireless adaptor in this laptop which says 'no Wireless'. Does anyone know if this needs network driver or is it something else and where I can find the needed driver?

I would recommend downloading this application on another PC:
www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3908

Once downloaded, run the application on the PC you need drivers for.  It should identify the chipset on the actually device missing the driver, in which you can google and download it that way.  Please post your results after you run the application if you are having some issues and I can continue to help you.

Regards,
mfigliolia
