I check Client for Microsoft Networks AND File and Print Sharing but get weird error message

Tags: Microsoft, Windows XP, XP - SP3

I have checked "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and Print Sharing" (LAN properties) and click "close".

But I get the following error:

"Your current selection will also disable the following components:
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks
Are you sure you want to disable these components?"

No matter if I check the box or not I can not make them work.

There is another tread here at EE but no solution for me so far.

I uninstalled the devices and reinstalled again; I tried fix at Run > Services.msc.

The only thing I didn't proceed was formating my HD.
