How to find the owner of a gmail account?

I need to find out how to find who opened a specific Gmail account.  I have received a disturbing email, malicious to say the least, and want to find out who owns the GMail account from which it came.  Is this possible?  Where and to whom to I go for this information? What agency/agencies can be contacted?

Sorry this problem has happened to you.  Gmail does not give out private account info to the public.  You can contact Gmail Support about Account Problems

You need to provide email with full header, as the From address could be spoofed.
