How can I hide the Subfolders of windows FTP root to all users and still allow access to their subfolder
I have Windows FTP server running on 2003 Standard Edition SP2 with IIS configured with one default ftp site. (I only have one ip assigned)
I can create drop boxes within the root folder and clients can upload files but cannot see any other files that have been uploaded to the drop boxes which is how I would like the ftp to work. The problem is, is that I do not want the clients to see any of the folders (drop boxes) within the root.
So the client logs in and gets taken to its folder(drop box) but they then can move back up the structure to see all of the folders within the root they cannot access which is good but I do not want them to see any folders within the root.
Therefore can the subfolders of the root directory be hidden?
I hope I have explained the issue well if you need further information please let me know.
Looking forward to finding an answer.
Thanks

Even if it is a stand-alone, if the users are logging into their FTP site with individual credentials they can be forced to their own folder.

Thanks MidnightOne, have forced to their own folder but they still can take a step back up the directory.
I am going to have to keep the points at the moment while I still investigate. I will report back with the new findings.
With thanks
