I'm getting TPC/IP error 4227 (in Events Log) in Microsoft Vista and I don't know how to remove it. Looks like the timeout between tpc/ip connections to the same point (localhost in my case) should be increased. How do I do this?
have you already checked MS Help ans Support service regarding this error? if not yet, just please click the link at the end of the description of this system event, and see the corresponding web page in the browser.
Yes, I did. This is what I get: "There is no additional information about this issue in the Error and Event Log Messages or Knowledge Base databases at this time. You can use the links in the Support area to determine whether any additional information might be available elsewhere."
OK. :) In that case disable/re-enable probably will not help. As far as I know 4227 is a minor side effect from patching tcpip and it's only a warning. Your network connection should be fine, I haven't heard about any problems related to 4227 yet.
BTW, for how many half-open connections you set it ?
I set 500 connections. I have locally installed Apache (on localhost) which is used sometimes for performance testing of the web-application. When I start a load-testing application locally - 4227 Error goes out and the network stops to work.
