Perhaps this is something simple but I don't know what it is. For years I have been able to upload files via FTP to our web server and users log in to our website and download their user-specific files via their web browsers. For the past two days, users have been unable to download EXE files. The files are visible, but all users get a message that says "Page not found". If I upload a ZIP file with the same contents (the EXEs were simply self-extracting ZIPs) the users are all able to download those files.
Wht would cause this? (Note: I know absolutely nothing about the web server - that's not my area (I am "very" remote to this office and am just interested in the "why" so perhaps I can give the info to our web department, who does not know what is going on either.))
