Cannot find Wins server - access is denied

Asked by DCenaculo in WINS, Windows XP Operating System, Internet Protocols

Tags: Microsoft, Windows, 2003, 2000 native network

I give "LOCAL SERVICE" "read" permission on HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg
and on one or two more registry keys and I can access my Wins server. Two hours later, these permissions disappear automatically and I cannot acces Wins again. I must go to regedit and give those permissions again.Start Free Trial
